WEST CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. Luke 2:52
It is the intent of this ministry to faithfully and diligently begin and continue the Lord's will in "bringing up children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." Our philosophy of education is Christian in every way. We attempt to instill into every life the discipleship of our Lord that the student's life may be spiritually joyful as well as successful. Academics of Christian schools and public are the same. One plus one does equal two. Our difference lies in the fact that we accept God as sovereign in the lives and affairs of men. We reject luck and coincidence and replace them with the infallible WORD OF GOD.
All of our subjects are taught from the Christian perspective. We believe that the " fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." Each student is taught that success begins with accepting Christ as one's personal Savior. That success continues as one accepts Christ as Lord of his life and obediently strives to live out the WORD OF GOD in his everyday life. West Christian Academy seeks to build that determined character in each and every student. We believe that the HOME is God's first institution. Its purpose is accepted and honored at West Christian Academy. WCA is not a substitute for the HOME but an aide to the HOME.
We further believe that each and every local church and pastor are principle leaders in the Christian development of the student. West Christian Academy seeks to provide an atmosphere conducive with the aims and ideals of the local church.
The academics are of the utmost importance. Every effort is made to challenge each student to reach his or her maximum potential through motivation and discipline. Each student is a vitally important individual and must be reached as such. Individual importance is a key factor in creating within each student a desire to learn and succeed.
Each teacher must be of the highest Christian character, academic preparation, and God-called to this ministry. We believe that through prayer and guidance, God can call to order the needed staff. We oppose humanism as an accepted philosophy. It seeks to demise God and uplift man. External purposes are placed above the purposes of God. Therefore, we firmly hold to the Christian philosophy of education.
